The Meru regional office is HFH Kenya’s 2nd oldest region having opened its doors in 1995 with Athiru Gaiti affiliate. As part of HFH Kenya’s new strategic plan, Maua regional office was moved to Meru town to serve the growing clientele in need of decent and affordable housing. The office will now serve families in Chuka, Meru South and Central, Imenti South and Central, Igembe North and South and Tigania East districts.
The region currently has two staff who and through the over 30 housing self help groups carry out the actual implementation of the program activities
To date, the program has helped more than 800 families construct decent and durable shelter.
