Corporate Partnerships

HFH Kenya invites Corporations and Foundations in Kenya to join its agenda of alleviating housing poverty in the country by improving housing conditions and living standards of low income people and vulnerable groups.

Partnering with HFH Kenya presents the following opportunities to our partners:

  • Immediacy, visibility and tangibility of your brand to your customers at the grassroots through our existing community networks and relationships.
  • A laudable and visible social responsibility project.
  • Prominent public exposure as well as successful team building with a positive impact on their employee’s morale.
  • A hands-on opportunity for Corporates/Foundations staff to join hands to make a difference in the life of needy people.

Why Habitat for Humanity Kenya?

  • HFH Kenya has been working in Kenya since 1982 and has so far worked in and supported 250 communities.
  • We have enabled over 8,300 low income families access decent and affordable houses through building, renovating and preserving homes, schools, and children homes; and directly served over 58,000 individuals
  • HFH Kenya builds simple, decent and affordable houses for vulnerable families in need of  housing; are living in dilapidated housing conditions, lack access to water and proper sanitation facilities, earn less than$1/day and those precluded from owning decent shelter due to lack of access to land through advocacy.
  • Habitat for Humanity Kenya provides the technical and managerial oversight necessary to deliver quality assistance to beneficiaries
  • Habitat for Humanity Kenya also ensures that benefiting communities contribute to the initiative through community-level ‘sweat equity’.

DOW Kenya has been supporting and partnering with Habitat Kenya since 2012 when they constructed 25 homes for the internally displaced persons in Maai Mahiu and engaged in more than a dozen of builds in Eldama Ravine, Bomet. Most recently, Dow Chemical supported Habitat Kenya to put up 6 houses in Mukima and 2 houses in Rumuruti, Laikipia County.

Dow envisions a holistic, human centered design to solving the housing challenges with an aim of constructing low cost quality houses meeting the required standards by   improving the housing conditions for the vulnerable elderly, orphans and vulnerable children in the community and working with the community by involving them in the house construction, WASH (Water & Sanitation) solutions, trainings and capacity building process.

Superfoam Ltd, donated 100 mattresses to twenty-five families in Rumuruti, Laikipia County in a bid to promote housing and quality sleep among internally displaced families.

The donations, given in November 2018, were part of a wider partnership between Superfoam Ltd, The Dow Chemical Company and Habitat for Humanity-Kenya. Beneficiaries of the project were victims of conflict in the larger Laikipia County.

Superfoam Ltd aims at providing families, manufacturing, motor, farming and the hospitality industries with a range of sleep solution products like mattresses and pillows for a good night’s sleep.
