Our Vision and Mission
Our Vision and Mission
Our vision
A Kenya where every family has a decent place to live.
Our mission
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity Kenya brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Our principles
- Demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ
- Focus on shelter
- Advocate for affordable housing
- Promote dignity and hope
- Support sustainable and transformative development
Our Strategic Goal
Habitat for Humanity Kenya is committed to being a central part of the solution to Kenya’s housing crisis. Our goal is to enable low-income families to access decent, affordable shelter alongside water, sanitation, and hygiene services.
Over the years, our approach has evolved from directly providing homes to poor and vulnerable families, to building the capacity of households and community structures as catalysts for lasting transformation.
We focus on low-income populations in rural and peri-urban areas, and currently operate across seven counties: Laikipia, Machakos, Homa Bay, Kisumu, Tana River, Kakamega, and Kajiado.
Non-Proselytizing Policy
Habitat for Humanity Kenya does not proselytize, nor do we partner with entities or individuals who make proselytizing a condition of their work with us. We do not offer assistance on the basis that recipients must adhere to, convert to, or engage with messaging intended to promote a particular faith. Our work is open to all, regardless of religious belief.
