This coordinated effort is designed to help ignite a global movement around an issue shaping health, equity and economic resilience.

From 19 – 23 January 2026, volunteers from Habitat for Humanity Greater Rochester, USA, joined Habitat for Humanity Kenya to build alongside Joyce’s family in Nanyuki.

Ten years ago, Mpayan left her husband to escape domestic violence. Since then, she has been raising her seven children with support from her father. Life was far from easy.

 

Festus Mutua Habitat for Humanity Kenya, and Caroline Lackmier, Habitat for Humanity Germany, join learners, teachers, and community members to commission a new borehole at Kyuasini Primary School, Masinga.

Decent housing remains out of reach for many low-income families in Kenya due to rising construction costs and limited access to affordable building materials.

Today, when you visit Selina, you are welcomed not just into a house, but into a home where the future has taken root, and where that future is already being passed on to the next generation one home at a time.
